Impermax Thixotropic Agent

When you are applying a thick 2kg coating of Impermax to the Walls of your Pond – it may be necessary to add our Thixotropic additive (liquid) to make the Impermax thicker.

However- most customers just apply 3 x thinner coats of 700gms Impermax on the vertical walls to achieve a thickness of 2kg per sq.m. With 3 x thin coats on the vertical walls you do not need a thixotropic agent to achieve the 2kg per sq.m thick coating. On the Base of the Pond you should apply 2 x thick 1kg per sq.m coats and let the first coat dry – before applying the second coat.
